About the Owner
REY OSTFELD
Over 25 years of experience working throughout the educational systems in Ontario, has given Rey the tools necessary to excel within the field of daycare licensing. This experience has given the DLSO team the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge on the inner workings of successful educational environments.
Rey’s ability to interpret and apply the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) along with a wealth of experience in approved licensing documentations and the programming requirements, gives our clients the confidence and edge they need to competently and successfully complete the licensing process. Rey and her team have been responsible for assessing compliance, monitoring the operations for license issuing, identifying issues and assisting in corrective action. They have conducted countless mock site inspections to evaluate against legislative requirements for the purposes of compliance, to prepare daycare owners for their personal inspections within all the ministries. Rey’s division has established and maintained strong relationships with all the community agencies involved in the licensing process, ensuring compliance is achieved within every daycare under DLSO. They are therefore able to provide expertise regarding programming, the physical premises, operating practices, and operating capacity for approval. Reuth’s knowledge and understanding of each step regarding licensing requirements and documentation necessary to achieve licensing will ensure your success in the development of your daycare.

Lara has a range of experience within the legal industry including practicing law, in-house counsel, acting as a Knowledge and Innovation Lawyer and working in the legal tech industry with a focus on regulatory compliance. Her focus on compliance as well as her superior analytical and problem-solving skills enables her to assess services being provided to children by applicants to licensees of child care programs, and evaluate against legislative requirements for purposes of compliance.
